Domestic Violence Educational Workshop
“Planting Seeds of Change”

All are welcome to attend our free educational workshops on domestic violence. You do not have to be a victim to be educated on the type of services that are available for those in need. The workshops will be held in the Community Room at the Ocala Police Department on the following dates: 

April 17, 2008   3pm-5pm
July 17, 2008   3pm-5pm

·      Survivor stories, interactive barriers exercise

·      Warning signs, affects on children & safety planning

·      Injunction applications & assistance

·      Cell phones available  

·      Advocates on hand to answer questions & address concerns

·      Certificates & CEUs available for mental health providers, social workers and nurses at no charge

 There will be representatives from our local Domestic Violence Shelter, Marion County Sheriff’s Department and Ocala Police Department …..
