ARREST MADE IN BARBERSHOP ROBBERY
On 12/13/13, Detective Stephanie McQuaig was able to identify and arrest a subject in relation to the Alpha Barbershop Robbery that occurred on November 30, 2013.
On November 30, 2013, the Alpha Barbershop located at 1524 N. Magnolia Ave. had an armed robbery occur. In this robbery, Jose Rodriguez and Juan Sustache were robbed of money and cellular phones at gunpoint by two subjects and then both victims were shot.

Detective Stephanie McQuaig has been working on solving this case. On 12/11/13, she obtained a warrant for B/M Orenzo Fitzpatrick, 1/4/89, for 1 count of Principal in the First to Robbery with a Firearm and 1 count of Principal in the First to Attempted Felony Murder. Fitzpatrick was located on 12/13/13 and arrested on the warrant. He initially fled from officers when they located him at Spring Manor Apartments, 2800 block of NE 7th St., but was apprehended in the parking lot of the Oakbrook Shopping Center, in the 2700 block of NE 14th St. He was then interviewed by Det. McQuaig and Det. Mary Brewton at OPD. Fitzpatrick advised that he had obtained victim Rodriguez's cellular phone from the subjects who had committed the robbery at Alpha Barbershop. Fitzpatrick assisted the other two suspects in the planning of the robbery, had knowledge they had committed the robbery, and did accept Rodriguez's stolen phone from them.

Fitzpatrick was transported to the Marion County Jail where he is being held without bond.

The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Det.
