TWO ARRESTED IN SHOOTING INCIDENT AT LOCAL APARTMENT COMPLEX
Two suspects have been arrested in the shooting incident that happened on 10/4/13 at approximately 12:44am.
In reference to the shooting incident the Ocala Police Department responded to at approximately 12:44am on today’s date, 10/4/13, two suspects have been arrested.
Shortly after the shooting incident where B/M Brandon Antonio Fillmore, DOB 02/27/86, was critically injured, officers located a black male subject fleeing from the area where the white Dodge Magnum had been abandoned. He was detained and it was determined that the vehicle was registered to him. He was identified as B/M Patrick Graham, Jr., DOB 6/4/87. Graham was detained for questioning.
During interview, Graham gave information in reference to the suspects in the case being his half brothers, B/M Akeem B. Young, DOB 9/5/91, and B/M Misho M. McMahon, DOB 12/6/85. Graham denied any involvement in the shooting; only advising to having loaned his vehicle to his brothers so they could go and buy “weed”. Detectives located both Young and McMahon in Reddick and took them into custody.
McMahon invoked his rights and refused to speak with Detectives. Young, however, agreed to speak with Detective Buchbinder. Young advised that he and McMahon did borrow Graham’s vehicle and then went to the apartment complex to buy marijuana. Young advised that he had been the one driving and that they had gone to meet Fillmore, whom he referred to as “Smoke” in order to purchase the marijuana. Young advised that McMahon and Fillmore have history of not getting along with one another and that there is “always tension between them”. Following the purchase of marijuana, there was a verbal exchange between McMahon and Fillmore. Young advised that Fillmore had exited his blue Oldsmobile Alero with a gun and that McMahon and Fillmore had then engaged in a physical struggle that resulted in Fillmore being shot. McMahon and Young then fled. Young advised that there had been no type of robbery and that he and his brothers have known Fillmore for an extended period of time.
No weapon was recovered from the scene, or in the vehicles.
Detectives have not spoken with Fillmore, as he is not yet able to speak with them.
McMahon was charged with one count of Attempted Felony Murder - $20,000 Bond – and Young was charged with Principle in the First Degree - $10,000 Bond. Both have been booked into the Marion County Jail. Graham was released.
