An arrest was made in the triple homicide out front of AJ's from earlier today, June 2, 2013.

On June 2, 2013, at approximately 12:43 am, officers responded to AJ's, 11 East Silver Springs Blvd., in reference to a Shooting. Upon arrival, officers located three (3) subjects laying outside the business, along the sidewalk, each suffering from gunshot wounds. Two were deceased on scene from gunshot wounds to the head and one was pronounced deceased at a local hospital shortly thereafter.

Detectives responded and worked throughout the rest of the night investigating these homicides. Since that time, notification has been made to the next of kins and the victims are identified as the following:

W/M Benjamin Larz Howard, DOB 03/09/90, of Belleview, FL
B/M Jerry Lamar Bynes, Jr., DOB 08/06/92, of Ocala, FL
H/M Josue Santiago, DOB 10/23/87, of Ocala, FL

As part of the investigation, Officer Michelle Green and her K-9 partner Motuck conducted and article search in the area. They were able to locate a handgun in a nearby trash bin as a result of this search. The weapon was a 9mm semi-automatic. It has not yet been identified as the actual weapon used in these shootings.

Detectives were able to identify a person of interest, who was contacted and transported to the Ocala Police Department, Major Crimes Section, for interview. This subject, B/M Andrew Joseph Lobban, DOB 04/09/82, of Ocala, FL, upon being interviewed by Detectives Mike Hilton and Jamie Buchbinder, advised to having shot all three of the victims outside of AJ's. Lobban advised that they had all worked together as bouncers at the Ocala Entertainment Complex in Ocala. Lobban advised that one of the victims had recently "punked" him and video taped it then shown the other two victims. They had all laughed at Lobban and teased him about the video, causing him embarrassment. Lobban advised that he had harbored ill will towards the three since this had occurred.

Lobban was placed under arrest following this interview at OPD at approximately 11:44 AM. He is being charged with 3 counts of First Degree Felony Murder; No Bond.
