Woman Arrested for Sending Nude Pictures to Teens
Detective Jorge Fernandez arrested a 43 year old woman for sending nude photos of herself to 2 minors via text messaging.
Case #201300043995

On March 4, 2013 a report was made to the Ocala Police Department alleging that an employee at Vanguard High School, W/F Jody Teressa Onorato, DOB 11/15/69, had sent nude pictures of herself to students at that same school via text messages. The first victim has since graduated and had received the nude photos during his 11th grade year, while he was still a minor. The second victim received nude photos of Onorato on his cellular phone as recently as January 2013. This victim is currently 17 years of age.

Detective Jorge Fernandez was assigned to investigate. Controlled phone calls were made by the mothers of the victims to Onorato. In these calls, Onorato apologized to each of the mothers for sending the nude photos of herself to their sons.

Det. Fernandez then interviewed Onorato at the Ocala Police Department on 3/08/13. Onorato advised that she had sent numerous nude photographs of herself via her cellular telephone to each of the victims. She advised she did so for attention. Onorato also advised Det. Fernandez that she had spoken to each of the victims' mothers and had apologized for sending the photos.

Onorato was placed under arrest by Det. Fernandez and charged with 2 counts of Transmitting Harmful Material to Minors. She was transported and booked into the Marion County Jail. Her bond is set at $10,000.00.
