The Ocala Police Department is proud to join hundreds of other law enforcement agencies across the state in the 2012 Click It or Ticket Spring campaign, which runs from March 18, 2012 until March 31, 2012.
The Ocala Police Department is proud to join hundreds of other law enforcement agencies across the state in the 2012 Click It or Ticket Spring campaign, which runs from March 18, 2012 until March 31, 2012. The Ocala Police Department, in its participation in this campaign, is continuing its pledge to save lives by intensifying its efforts to enforce the seat belt law.

On June 30, 2009, violations of Florida’s seat belt law became a primary stop for law enforcement officers. This means that officers may stop motorists when they see a violation of the seatbelt law, and no other type of violation will be necessary for officers to make the traffic stop. Officers will be increasing their watch for vehicles with any violations of the Florida laws on safety belt usage.

On Saturday March 31, 2012 the Ocala Police Department will be conducting child safety seat inspections from 8:00 AM thru 12:00 PM in the front parking lot of the Ocala Police Department, 402 South Pine Avenue. Certified Child Seat Safety Inspectors will be on hand to check the installation of your child’s car seat and make proper adjustments if necessary.

The Ocala Police Department is dedicated to saving lives and wants everyone in vehicles on our roadways to buckle up.
