K-9 Unit Recognition
The Ocala Police Department's K-9 Unit was recognized and thanked by Chief Isaacs of the Fruitland Park Police Department.
On today's date, January 8, 2013, Chief Terry Isaacs of the Fruitland Park Police Department made a special trip to the Ocala Police Department. He came to recognize the efforts of our K-9 Unit in assisting with the training of their K-9 Unit.

For several months the two units worked together to train both handlers and K-9's to meet the standards necessary for certification. They spent countless hours together to successfully accomplish this goal. Chief Isaacs was able to advise that, due to the success of the training, FPPD has already made positive use of their K-9's in the investigation of criminal activity.

Chief Isaacs presented plaques to individuals in the OPD K-9 Unit and thanked them, and the Department, for their assistance.
