Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run
Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run comes to Ocala Friday April 20, 2012.

Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run comes to Ocala Friday April 20, 2012.

Marion County Law Enforcement Officers will be gathering at the Ocala Police Department this Friday at 9:00 AM to participate in the annual Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run. The event is held every year to help raise money and awareness for Special Olympics.

This Friday up to 100 Marion County Law Enforcement Officers will be running from the Ocala Police Department to South Pine Avenue. Officers will run to SW 17 Street and proceed to the Churchill Square Publix for a short break. The run will continue through downtown Ocala and culminate back at the Ocala Police Department.

Those of you traveling the route please be careful of the runners there may be short delays but they will be minimal.

Anyone that wants to come to cheer the Officers on is welcome or just show your support with a wave as you drive by.
