Employee dispute ends in stabbing
Two employees get into an altercation 1 man hospitalized.
09-17-1962On 01-13-2011, officers responded to the Cactus Car Wash, 815 South Pine Ave. in reference to a stabbing in progress. Officers made contact with victim Roger Williams, black male, 08-30-68 who advised he was involved in an altercation with co-worker Wilbur Watson, black male, 09-17-62. The victim told officers that Watson stabbed him during the altercation and he needed medical attention. Williams was transported to the hospital for a stab wound to his stomach. Williams advised officers that Watson had fled the area in a silver 4 door Kia.

Detective Mat Steckman observed a silver 4 door Kia in the area of N.E. 9th Street and N.E. Watula Ave. Detective Steckman stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as the suspect, Wilbur Watson. Watson admitted to detectives that he had been at the Cactus Car Wash and had been involved in an altercation with the victim. A witness to the altercation responded and positively identified Watson and he was subsequently arrested.

Wilbur Watson was arrested for Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon and was transported to the Marion County Jail, under a $5000.00 bond.
