Additional information on the subjects shot and killed at a local business has been released.
The two subjects who were shot and killed at Davis Supply, Inc. have been identified as:
H/M Elliott Torres, DOB 11/01/67
H/F Marta Torres, DOB 08/10/69
The couple was married, but estranged at the time of the incident. Marta was a current employee of DSI and Elliott was a former employee of the company.
Both are from the Ft. Meyers, FL area and Marta had recently moved to Ocala. She did report being in fear of Elliott to the Ocala Police Department on 09/23/09. Securities were placed on her local residence and a BOLO was issued to all officers for the yellow Hummer that Elliott drives. Marta had also recently obtained an injunction against Elliott, which he had been served with.
Preliminary investigation indicates that Elliott responded to DSI in Ocala on this date and confronted Marta. He then shot her and then turned the weapon on himself.
