| BANK ROBBER ARRESTED |
|
Cooperative work between the Ocala Police Department, the Marion County Sheriff's Office and the Lake County Sheriff's Office resulted in the arrest of bank robber, James Lee Coleman on 08/28/09.

On today's date, August 28, 2009, James Lee Coleman, who was wanted for two
bank robberies by the Ocala Police Department was located and arrested.
Detectives from the Marion County Sheriff's Office were able to obtain
information on the location of Coleman, which was in the Fruitland Park area
of Lake County. The Lake County Sheriff's Office SWAT unit responded to that
location and, after a brief amount of negotiation time, Coleman surrendered
and was transported to the Lake County Jail.
Detectives from MCSO will additionally be charging Coleman with Armed Burglary
where he burglarized the home of an MCSO Deputy and stole several firearms.
He is also suspected in another bank robbery in Marion County. For Further

Detectives at the Ocala Police Department will be looking at Coleman further
in relation to other reported crimes in the City of Ocala.
