| Suntrust Bank Robbery |

On August 3, 2009, the Suntrust Bank, 1601 SW College Road, was robbed.

On today's date, August 3, 2009, at approximately 2:36pm, officers responded to the Suntrust Bank located at 1601 SW College Road in Ocala in reference to a robbery.
The suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion in his 20's. He was described as wearing jeans, tennis shoes, a hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap. He displayed the butt of what was described as possibly a semi-auto pistol in his waistband and gave the teller a note advising that he was robbing the bank. The suspect then obtained an undetermined amount of money from the teller, which he put into the waistband of his pants, and fled the scene. No shots were fired and no one was injured.
A perimeter was set and a K-9 unit from the Marion County Sheriff's Office responded to assist. A track was attempted with negative results. It is still unknown who the suspect is at this time.
