On 12/3/13, around 6:38am, officers responded to a local home where a Home Invasion had occurred and the resident had been stabbed.
On today’s date, 12/03/13, at approximately 6:38am, the Ocala Police Department received a call that a Home Invasion Robbery had just occurred. The location was 1529 NW 2nd Ave. Officers responded and found that the resident, W/F Connie Cordell, age 65, was sitting in a living room chair with a stab wound to her chest. Cordell was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Prior to going into surgery, Cordell advised that an unknown white male subject had come into her home and demanded money from her. When she advised him that she didn’t have any, he stabbed her with a knife and fled.
At the time of this release, Cordell had gone into surgery but reports indicated she was stable.
Officers and Detectives are still working this case and attempting to identify and locate the suspect.
