A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the 700 block of NE 36th Ave. on 07/23/09.
At approximately 12:10 AM, Ocala Police responded to the 700 Block of NE 36th Ave. in reference to a traffic crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Investigation revealed that a H/M was crossing eastbound on foot across NE 36th Ave. A 1997 Toyota driven by a W/F was driving northbound on NE 36th Ave. in the outside lane. The vehicle struck the H/M as he attempted to cross the roadway. The H/M was treated on scene by Ocala Fire Rescue and Marion County Fire Rescue. He was later flown to Shand's Hospital in Gainesville, where he is listed in critical condition at this time.
