Although detectives are continuing the investigation into identifying the shooter in this case, which resulted in the death of B/M Samuel Washington, DOB 4/20/85, two subjects have been arrested for charges relating to the case. B/M Laquan Ria'mel Barrow, DOB 3/21/91, and B/M Howard Lee Hill, DOB 9/25/93, were both charged with one count each of Burglary of a Conveyance with a Battery.
Information was developed that Washington was shot while in a vehicle and three subjects were identified as having been with Washington at the time he was shot. The driver of the vehicle was B/M Clarence Jamal Evans, DOB 1/4/91, who advised that he B/M Timothy Anttwon Stanley, DOB 12/14/85, B/M Delmario Austin, DOB 2/7/93 and Washington left a club called Cloud 9 & were going to a block party. Evans had stopped the car just east of the intersection of SW 19th Ave. & SW 1st St. when Barrow came up and opened the driver's door and punched him in the face several times.
