STOLEN VEHICLE CASE ENDS IN A CRASH
A vehicle was stolen today, May 7, 2013, and when it was located less than 3 hours later, the suspects fled and crashed.
On today’s date, May 7, 2013, at approximately 12:33pm, W/M Robert Charles Pierce, DOB 4/15/55, reported his car, a light blue 2001 Buick LeSabre, stolen from in front of the Metro PCS Store, located at 2708 SW College Rd., #102. Pierce advised that he had left his vehicle running in a handicap space of the parking lot while he went into the store. A short time later, he looked out and saw that his vehicle was missing. Officer Doug Russell took the report from Mr. Pierce, and a BOLO was issued to all officers.
This afternoon, at approximately 3:15pm, while assisting on the Home Invasion Robbery at Paddock Park Apartments, Officer Casey Walsh spotted the stolen vehicle. Officer Walsh was exiting the apartment complex in order to BOLO for the suspects in the Home Invasion Robbery when the stolen vehicle passed in front of her on SW 41st St. Officer Walsh immediately attempted to pull the vehicle over, but it failed to stop and accelerated in speed. The suspects did not get very far, however, as they lost control and flipped it in the 2700 block of SW 42nd St. Both the driver, B/F Nakeria Pinckney, DOB 2/10/88, and the passenger, W/M Justin Oliver, DOB 12/16/85, attempted to flee from the wrecked vehicle, but were quickly taken into custody. Pinckney and Oliver were transported to Munroe Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Following their release, they will be booked into the Marion County Jail.
The charges are as follows:
B/F Nakeria A. Pinckney, DOB 2/10/88 – 1 Count Grand Theft Auto
1 Count Fleeing & Alluding
1 Count Reckless Driving

1 Count No Valid Driver’s License
