HOME INVASION ROBBERY
A home Invasion Robbery occurred at Paddock Park Apartments today, May 7, 2013, at approximately 2:45pm.
Case #201300086952

On today's date, May 7, 2013, a Home Invasion Robbery occurred at Paddock Park Apartments, 2901 SW 41st St., at approximately 2:45pm. While the victim, W/M John Donaldson, was at home with his 3 children, ages 11, 7 and 1, someone knocked on the front door of his apartment. When he opened the door, there were two young black males standing there and they then kicked the door further open and pulled out guns. Upon this occurring, Donaldson was able to grab one of the suspects and flip him over, but then the second subject struck him in the head with a gun. While holding the gun to Donaldson's head, they demanded money. Donaldson gave them what money he had in the house and his wallet. The two suspects then told Donaldson to lay face down on the floor and not move until they had left or they would kill him. The two suspects then fled from the scene. As soon as the suspects were gone, Donaldson gathered his children, went to a neighbor's apartment and called 911.

The suspects are described as follows:
1. Black Male, 5'10", thin build, wearing a green shirt, a ball cap and sunglasses with red arms
2. Black Male, 5'9", wearing a bulky gray jacket and a partial mask over the lower part of his face

Both are described as being in their early 20's and both were armed with black semi-automatic handguns.

Further information on this incident will be provided as it becomes available.
