Suspect Arrested in BP Robbery
Members of the Special Deployment Unit of the Ocala Police Department located Joshua K. Fox, who was wanted for the till snatch robbery at the BP, 3821 SW College Rd.
On today's date, 2/28/13, at approximately 3:30 pm, members of the Ocala Police Department's Special Deployment Unit located Joshua K. Fox, DOB 8/1/88, walking in the 5500 block of East Silver Springs Blvd. Fox was being sought for the till snatch robbery at the BP Station, located at 3821 SW College Rd. that occurred on 2/27/13. Fox was walking to the Holiday Inn Express, his former place of employment, to pick up his final check when the officers located him.

Fox was taken into custody and transported to the Ocala Police Department, where he was interviewed by Det. Stephanie McQuaig. Fox had been calling Det. Mcquaig throughout the day advising that he was going to turn himself in at some point. During the course of the interview, Fox advised that he has a prescription pill problem and owed money to a drug dealer. The drug dealer had threatened his family, which is why he tookd the money from the register at the BP.

Det. McQuaig charged Fox with one count of Robbery by Sudden Snatching and he was transported to the Marion County Jail. Bond was set at $5,000.00.
