Till Snatch at BP Station
On 2/27/13, between 12:30 and 12:45, an unknown white male snatched money from the cash register at the BP, located at 3821 SW College Rd., and fled.
On today's date, 2/27/13, an unknown white male entered the BP at 3821 SW College Rd. in Ocala and requested to use the phone. He advised that he was broken down & needed to call someone to assist him. He lingered for about a half an hour in the store. Then, while still holding the cordless handset to the store's phone, the suspect reached into the register and grabbed an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot.

The suspect made no threats/demands nor did he display any type of weapon. There were no injuries. However, his taking of the handset for the phone did cause a delay in the clerk being able to call for emergency services.

We are releasing this photo of the suspect in order to seek the public's help in identifying him. Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to contact the Ocala Police Department at 352-369-7000 or contact Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP (7867), www.ocalacrimestoppers.com, or text to 274637 Key word 368STOP.
