Ice Cream Truck Robber Arrested
On June 25, 2009, the robber of the ice cream truck driver from the June 23rd incident is arrested.
On June 23, 2009, at approximately 6:16 PM, Officers responded to the 1700 block of S.W. 2nd Street in reference to a Robbery. The victim, Rigoberto Reyes, reported that he was inside his Ice Cream truck parked on the side of the roadway in front of residence at 1741 S.W. 2nd Street. An unknown B/M subject approached the passenger side of the Ice Cream truck where the window is located, pulled his shirt over his nose, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at him and demanded money. Reyes made it back to the driver’s seat of his truck, drove off and phoned the police. The subject was unsuccessful in obtaining any monies from Mr. Reyes. During the course of the investigation a suspect was developed and later positively identified as the robber. A warrant was obtained by Detective Mike Bowman for the arrest of the subject, identified as B/M Kadrian Clayton, D.O.B. 6/9/92 (17 yoa). On today’s date, 06/25/09, Detective Bowman, with the assistance of patrol officers, was able to locate and apprehend Clayton after a short foot chase.
