Armed Robbery Attempt to Ice Cream Truck Driver
A subject with a gun tried to rob the driver of an ice cream truck on 06/23/09.
On June 23, 2009, at approximately 6:16 PM, Officers responded to the 1700 block of S.W. 2nd Street in reference to a Robbery. The victim, Rigoberto Reyes, reported that he was inside his Ice Cream truck parked on the side of the roadway in front of residence at 1741 S.W. 2nd Street. An unknown B/M subject approached the passenger side of the Ice Cream truck where the window is located, pulled his shirt over his nose, pointed a semi-automatic handgun at him and demanded money. Reyes made it back to the driver’s seat of his truck, drove off and phoned the police. The subject was unsuccessful in obtaining any monies from Mr. Reyes. Officers set up a perimeter of the area along with a K-9 Unit, but were unable to locate the subject involved in this Robbery. The description of the subject: B/M, 5-8, 15 to 16 years of age, skinny build, wearing a blue shirt and brown shorts. During the course of the investigation a suspect was developed and later positively identified as the robber. A probable cause affidavit was written up by Detective Mike Bowman for the arrest of the subject. WANTED SUSPECT: There is a warrant issued for the arrest of B/M Kadrian Clayton, D.O.B. 6/9/92 (17 yoa), for one count of Armed Robbery.
