Ocala Police Department arrest man for four commercial burglaries.
Man caught after committing several Church burglaries in Ocala and Marion County.
Ocala Police Department arrest man for four commercial burglaries.

On 04-12-12 just after 7 AM Officers received information that a subject was burglarizing the Rehoboth of Fire International Ministries located at 1713 North Pine Ave. Officer Casey Stack responded and observed a black male exiting the business. The subject ran when confronted by Officer Stack. Officer Stack pursued the man on foot and she was able to apprehend and subdue the subject without incident.

The suspect was identified as Ronald Smith, black male, 07-27-62. Smith was transported to the Ocala Police Department and he was interviewed by Detective Mary Brewton. Detective Brewton was able to ascertain that Smith had committed 3 previous burglaries in the area. Smith admitted to breaking into the church on a previous incident, he also admitted to breaking into the Rainbow Vacuum Business located at 1725 N. Pine Ave. on 04-11-12. Smith also confessed to breaking into Sweet Seductions located at 2033 N. Pine Ave. in the early morning hours of 04-13-12. Smith also advised he had committed more Church burglaries in Marion County and Marion County Sheriff Detectives responded to investigate.

Smith was charged with 4 counts of burglary commercial and transported to the Marion County Jail to be held on $17,250.00 bond.
