Lauren’s Kids Kicks Off 3rd Annual, 1,500--‐Mile Walk Across Florida
To Raise Awareness of Childhood Sexual Abuse

The Ocala Police Department will be participating in the annual Lauren’s Walk on February 7th, 2012.

Lauren Book, who endured childhood sexual abuse for six years at the hands of her family’s nanny, will embark on a 1,500--‐mile journey across Florida in January and February to raise awareness about child sexual abuse and promote changes in state and federal laws to better protect children in wake of the recent high--‐profile abuse scandals.

The Ocala walk will start at 9am on February 7th, Tuesday at the Marion County Tax Collector's Office and end at United Way. It will only be a mile and we would like as much support for this very important awareness campaign.
Let the kids know that we care and want to make a difference here in Ocala!!!

Please help us get the word out to help Lauren's Walk. Lauren helps awareness of Sexual Assault on children through her own experience..I want Ocala out in full force!!!
It's time.....to talk about it!
