Michael Alan Frye was arrested in our September 19th sexual battery and kidnapping.
Update on serial Rapist: On October 24, 2011 Detective McQuaig arrested Michael Alan Frye for sexual battery and kidnapping. This incident occurred on September 19, 2011 and was the first case reported in the city. Frye has know been charged with four sexual battery and kidnapping cases two by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and two by the Ocala Police Department. The Ocala Police Department would like to thank the community for all the support we received in conducting the investigation and the information that ultimately lead to the arrest of Frye. The Task Force including the Ocala Police Department, Marion County Sheriff’s Office, Gainesville Police Department, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement are still investigating the incidents and anyone with information is encouraged to call any of the above Agencies.
