| Bombing Suspect Arrested |

Suspect in bomb case is arrested by Detective Kristen Blauser of the Ocala Police Department, who was assisted in the investigation by MCSO Sgt. Jeff Gold and agents from ATF and the FBI.

On May 9, 2009, at approximately 11:30 PM, at Paradise Apartments 1900 block of S.W. 31st Avenue, a package 4 inches x 7 inches was left at an apartment. The resident came home and brought the package into her residence and attempted to open the package. Upon partially opening the package the resident determined it was suspicious threw the package into the bushes outside of the residence and left her home. The resident returned home at 4:00 AM and notified the Ocala Police Department.
This evening Detective Kristen Blauser of the Ocala Police Department arrested W/M Timothy John Gross 38 of Ocala in connection with this case. Mr. Gross is charged with 1 count of Attempted Felony Homicide and 1 count of Making or Placing a Destructive Device. Mr. Gross was taken to the Marion County Jail with no bond. The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Ocala Police Department, Sergeant Jeff Gold of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Bomb Squad, Special Agent Dewayne Krueger, ATF and Special Agent Mary N. Whorley, FBI.
