HOME INVASION ROBBERY
A Home Invasion Robbery occured on 12/09/10 at approximately 4:17am.
On today's date, 12/09/10, at approximately 4:17 am, officers responded to 221 SE Sanchez Ave., Apt. #2 in reference to a neighbor hearing screaming and seeing three white males running from the residence. Officers made contact with the resident, a white female whose ankles were bound together with a computer cord, decorating beads and duct tape. Officers had to cut these items off of the victim. The victim advised that she had just been robbed.

The white female victim advised that she had been asleep on her couch when someone knocked on her door. When she opened the door she saw at least two males wearing ski masks. Thinking it was a joke, she attempted to close the door; however they forced their way in. She was forced to the ground on her stomach; one of the subjects had his knee in her back and his hand, which was gloved, over her mouth. The victim stated that she began screaming and that he then began to choke her with his other hand. Shortly after, she lost consciousness and when she awoke there was a blanket wrapped around her neck and face. She heard one of the subjects state, "Merry Christmas Bitch" as they left.

The victim did have some injuries to her facial area that were treated on scene. She advised that her Coach purse, valued at $300 was taken. Inside the purse was approximately $700 in cash. Other items missing from the coffee table were prescription medications, scratch-off lottery tickets and Lotto tickets. Her Christmas tree and the portion of her living room it was located in were ransacked.

A perimeter was set and a K-9 track was attempted, with negative results.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Ocala Police Department at 352-369-7000 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP (7867) or www.ocalacrimestoppers.com.
