Ocala Police Department Detectives Elias Conde and Dan Clark are seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect who used stolen credit cards. On August 13, 2010, reports were taken from two different victims at two different locations in reference to auto burglaries. Both vehicles had had a window smashed out and a purse taken from within. A short time later, it was discovered that credit cards from each case had been used at local stores.
Both Detective Conde and Detective Clark were able to obtain surveillance of the the subject using the credit cards, and it was found that this appears to be the same person in both cases. Det. Conde was able to obtain surveillance from the K-Mart Store in Belleview, FL, where the victim’s card was used for a purchase of $131.79. Det. Clark was able to obtain surveillance from Walmart on SW 19th Ave. Rd. in Ocala, where the suspect attempted to use the victim’s card to withdraw $250.00 – this attempt was unsuccessful.
Photos of the suspect are located on this website in the Photo Gallery.
We ask that you look at the provided surveillance photos and, if you have any information on the identity of the suspect pictured, call either Det. Dan Clark at 352-629-8425 or Det. Elias Conde at 352-368-5406. Anonymous information can also be given through Crime Stoppers of Marion County at 352-368-STOP (7867) or www.crimestoppersocala.com.
