The Florida Citizens Bank at 4201 E. Silver Springs Blvd. was robbed on Tuesday, August 3, 2010.
On August 3, 2010 at approximately 12:30 pm, officers of the Ocala Police Department responded to the Florida Citizens Bank at 4201 E. Silver Springs Blvd. in reference to a robbery. Employees advised that a masked male subject entered the bank armed wit a dark colored pistol and demanded money. Once the money was obtained, he fled to a tan older model Ford F150 pickup and fled northbound on NE 42nd Ave. No one was injured. Suspect was described as a white male, stocky build, 30-40s, blue eyes, wearing a brown mesh baseball cap, dark colored bandana covering his face, dark colored zip up sweat shirt, light blue jeans, and tan work boots. Truck also had a brown stripe down the side and a tailgate a different color than it. Anyone with information contact the Ocala Police Department at 352-369-7000 or contact Crime Stoppers.
