| CONVENIENCE STORE ROBBED AT GUNPOINT |

The Stop and Shop at 407 NE 8th Ave. was robbed at gunpoint on July 29, 2010.

On today’s date, at approximately 12:02 pm, officers responded to the Stop and Shop, located at 407 NE 8th Ave., in reference to an armed robbery. The clerk at the store advised officers that a black male subject had come into the store and pointed a silver colored semi-automatic handgun at her. He advised her to give him the money and he wouldn’t kill her. The clerk opened the drawer and as she was giving him money, he reached around and grabbed it out of the register. The robber fled the store at that time with an undetermined amount of money and the clerk was unharmed.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 30’s, wearing a New York Yankees ball cap, a white tank top and black shorts; he has tattoos of symbols of some sort on his right arm.
