| MULTIPLE SEARCH WARRANTS ON CYBER CAFES CURRENTLY BEING SERVED SIMULTANEOUSLY |

At approximately 11:30am on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, MADET Agents served search warrants on 3 businesses in violation of Florida Gambling Laws.

Members of the Multi-Agency Drug Enforcement Team (MADET) are currently
serving search warrants on three businesses, due to multiple violations of
State Gambling Laws. Members of MADET are employees of both the Ocala Police
Department and the Marion County Sheriff's Office who work as a team, both in
the city limits of Ocala and in the County areas. This unit had conducted an
undercover investigation into the cyber caf s due to numerous complaints
they'd received from concerned citizens. It was determined that these
businesses were operating illegal gambling operations under Florida State
Statutes 849.01, 849.02, 849.09, 849.15 and 849.16.
One location is in the city limits of Ocala and two are in the Marion County
area. Sgt. Scroble is at 624 S. Pine Ave., Ocala and Judge Cochran is at
16670 S. Hwy 441, in the County. Please contact either of these PIO's for
further information. The third location is 6837 SE Maricamp Rd. in the Silver
Spring Shores.
