The Ocala Police Department currently has over 100 marked patrol cars, over 60 unmarked patrol cars, 7 trailers, 2 buses, the S.W.A.T. truck, and Incident Command Post, and many other vehicles that require routine maintenance to keep them operating in good condition.  The Fleet Maintenance Section is tasked with the responsibility of ensuring the safe operating conditions of these vehicles, to ensure officers driving these vehicles are in the safest vehicles possible.  Currently there is a Fleet Maintenance Supervisor and a Certified Master Mechanic that handle the routine maintenance of these vehicles, as well as any non-routine repairs that may arise.  These individuals are a critical part of insuring the Ocala Police Department's Officers are equipped to respond to any incident that may arise.

The Facility Maintenance Section is also comprised of Ocala Police Department members that are dedicated to ensuring the buildings and other equipment are in working order.  These members are responsible for the upkeep of the landscaping, security fencing and gates, heating and air, fire suppression devices and all other facility operations within the department and satellite offices.
