Effective Monday, Nov. 27, the tennis courts at Tuscawilla Park located near the 600 block of NE Sanchez Avenue, are closed for resurfacing. These courts are expected to re-open to the public for recreational use Friday, Dec. 8.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, Thanksgiving Day is the leading day for home fires involving cooking equipment. Fortunately, most of these fires are preventable by taking easy precautions.
Ocala Fire Rescue (OFR) stations will serve as food, toiletries, and toys collection sites for various local charities including Interfaith, Salvation Army, and Brother’s Keeper – through the Bring the Harvest Home campaign; as well as Pay it Forward Ministries and Toys for Tots.
