Involvement

The Ocala Police Department maintains a Community Policing philosophy with an Intelligence-based problem-solving component. Community Policing is a two way street with information flowing in both directions, which establishes collaborative partnerships. This community based-policing involves everyone having ownership in our community's problems and solutions. Everyone's active participation allows us to focus our law enforcement efforts to where they are needed, at the best time for optimal results.

A community that is involved is a community that has control. There is not one community issue or problem that the community at a hole cannot collectively control, manage or eliminate. No matter if the community is made up of homes as a neighborhood or as a group of businesses, collaborative control is within reach. As your police department we pledge to partner with you in our effort to keep everyone safe, and our community free of those who tend to do us wrong.

Your Involvement is crucial!
